Ethics & Independence
How we protect editorial integrity and handle conflicts.
How we protect editorial integrity and handle conflicts.
We make editorial decisions independently. Outside companies, product providers, access, gifts, or other external interests do not determine coverage, framing, ranking, or conclusions.
Newsgaged is currently publisher-funded. We do not use affiliate or referral links, receive commissions from recommendations, sell advertising, accept sponsored placements, or publish paid native advertising.
Links to third-party products, services, books, platforms, and tools are ordinary non-affiliate links provided for editorial or reference purposes.
If this funding model changes, we will update our public policies and label any commercial communication before it is published.
Contributors must disclose potential conflicts to the Editorial Desk. When a financial, professional, personal, or other interest could materially affect coverage, we disclose the conflict, change the assignment, or recuse the contributor as appropriate.
We prioritize primary sources and cite evidence for key claims. When primary sources are unavailable, we link to reputable secondary reporting and explain our reasoning.
We correct material errors promptly and note changes transparently. See our Corrections Policy for details.
We may publish under clearly identified pen names for privacy. Editorial accountability remains with the publication and responsible editorial oversight.
