How we use AI

We may use AI tools to assist with research, summarization, transcription, or formatting. AI tools are used to support the reporting process, not replace it.

Human review

Every article is reviewed by an editor before publication. Editors verify sources, check claims, and ensure context and disclosure standards are met.

Disclosure

When AI assistance materially contributes to a piece, we disclose that use within the article or in an editor’s note.

Prohibited uses

We do not publish fully automated stories without human review. We do not present AI-generated output as a primary source.

Data handling

We avoid submitting confidential or sensitive information to third-party AI tools.
